In the 1700s, the architect Count Carl Johan Cronstedt, built a tiled stove with 50% efficiency. Today, Cronspisen tiled stoves have an efficiency of up to 87%. So even though today’s Cronspisen stoves are more technologically
advanced than Cronstedt’s tiled stoves, they are still based
on his old brilliant design.
Cronspisen is based on further development of Cronstedt’s
principle with long flues that heat up the tiled
stove core. The heat accumulates in the cast olivine
core, which produces low temperatures on the outgoing
smoke gases. The stored heat is then comfortably
released for up to 24 hours after the fire has gone out.
